If you were releasing these to be used by players as a replacement for the standard skins, then yes, this would be how to do it.
Since these skins are meant to be used by AC instead of by the users (i.e. part of standard AC), I'd post it on the AC forums, by uploading it somewhere like Mediafire and providing a link.
I'd suggest showing these to someone on the forums who's looking for something like this.

They will just tell you to upload them here on quadropolis anyway...

Quadropolis isn't a file hosting service.
If this is meant to be added to AC, then it should be shown to the AC community.
If it is meant to be released as content, like Geartrooper's monster pack, then it should be submitted to Quadropolis.
It looks to me like the first is the applicable one.

These skins are simply a mod. They might get added to the next release, but as of right now they are mods.
Saying Quadropolis is not a filing hosting service seems to be the most incorrect thing to say. Quadropolis is not meant for all types of files, but game content for cube engine games is allowed to be uploaded here. I see no reason to get so upset over this specific node. There are many horrible, and unplayable maps here, yet this is the first node that I've seen where someone has said not to post X content here. Either way, this is user made, and must be added as a mod to the current version anyway. If possible game content for the next release is not acceptable, then no maps or mods should be posted here, as these too can make it into the next release. In fact, leave Quadropolis empty, we wouldn't want any devs adding anything to the next release. We all know no one wants that...

Well - since I've been telling people in the AC forum to upload their media here, rather than some icky file-hosters (with stupid countdowns or other nagging "features"), I guess I'd be responsible for him coming here.
And I do think this is the right place for it; especially if it's stuff he wants to see in the next release.
I've upped a number of CubeScript nodes here (like this menu-trigger fix, that eventually got put into Sauerbraten, or (like the TABcompletion one) made eihrul think about new commands to make life easier for everyone :)
Sure, there's always been new content (like maps/textures) we've seen in new releases that nobody saw on quadropolis before ... but there's also been a number of maps that were first published here and then (sometimes very) quickly made it into CVS ... but if you don't check that out, you'd only see it on release date.

If the only thing that's changed is the recoloring, then Cheeseburger needs to appropriately license this. Also upload a screenshot to Quadropolis.

EDIT: And on the icky filehosters, I like Mediafire because it doesn't have any nagginess or delays. Just upload and it works. (It also tracks your files for you.)

@SheeEttin: well I see your point of view making a lot of sense too, just had to mention I've been pushing quadropolis for more regular content (mostly maps) very much on the AC-forum! I've bookmarked mediafire.com now, thanks for the hint :)

.. and "yes!" - I totally agree with the need for a screenshot & correct licensing!

@Cheeseburger: fix this .. or one of us moderators is gonna have to take this node down!
