So, I never mentioned this because I'm so inactive here, but this post reminded me so I may as well...

For I guess a couple years now, I've had the apparent ability to delete and edit other people's comments. (I say apparently because i've never actually done it) So I saw a bunch of spam posts and thought "gee, i'll use my powers and delete these, since no one got to them yet." But I can't delete posts, just comments, so whatever.

Anyway, thinking that reminded me I had some mod powers for no apparent reason. You might want to check no one else was accidentally given them... years ago... (i really don't remember how long i've had this)

What's wrong with admin registration?

Moderators can't edit nodes, neither remove them (which is a shame as certain nodes which I've made can't be edited by me due this).

I've just deleted two Bot comments linking to malicious websites on older threads. I really think we should bring back the admin account activation before this gets out of hand.

I vote for the deletion of all accounts, older than 1 week, that have been registered but not once logged in. There are a few pages worth..

EDIT: sorting by last access is kinda broken. It switches between 8 years something and 5 instead of the full spectrum?

Account creation change:
The creation of an account is now in control of any administrator.
You should contact an administrator to get an account on Quadropolis (due the literally more than thousand spambot accounts that have been created last weeks).
This can be done through email (click on the name of someone that has 3 stars, go to the contact header and just ask for an account), on an IRC channel or in real life (if you coincidentally bump into each other).

This is one of the last resort solutions; but requiring to delete about 100 accounts each day isn't something nice also.

Perhaps a better solution should be brought...
