0.0 omg!
I remember that map when I was back in my days as a noob! I even remember the person who made it a little bit. Scares me how long I've been playing sauerbraten and how fast time flies.
True, sweetmisery (damn, even remembering that name 0.0 maybe I should stop playing sauerbraten, this gets really creepy to me) made a remake of Aerowalk, but he added his own style of gameplay and flow to the map, unlike the 2 other remakes (like the one on this content)
Of course, his remake has dead ends wich kills flow, even he still solved the gameplay by adding a window for example at the dead end.
The teleporters are supposed as a trap. If you take the teleporter to the upper teledest (wich let you spawn in air and should "launch" you), it leads you to the jumppad, wich makes you an incredible easy target to kill when taking the jumppad.
The other teleporter is a direct trap, since the opponent is able to see the spawnpoint very easy (from the upperbridge to the other jumppad, wich is also a trap).
If you take the teleport wich is on the lowest floor, in the middle of the map, your opponent only has to fire a rocket (or a rifle in insta) to the spawnpoint and its over.
Aerowalk is set up as a "trapmap". If you don't know it properly and you don't know how it's set up, you won't be able to frag good on it or to see the reasons of the geometry, entities, lighting, detailing and texturing (as well for gameplay and flow).
It's a very misleading map, wich is often failed to understand by people in the Sauerbraten community.
P.S.
Tentus should have seen some maps now, he wouldn't believe his eyes what kind of geometry, texturing, lighting and detail can be reached.
