MAP CFG BASICS.txt: This simply explains some of the most basic function when seting up your config file. Function such as: loadsky, texturereset, texture, mmodel, texscoll, autograss, etc.

A video on youtube showing how this is done. Youtube video blending
This will contain more txt file but this is all that is done, this will contain an intermedeate file (explaining the texture command in more detial, explore the blend/paint feature, and go into basic shaders), an advance file, (more about shaders and some more advance commands).

This is useless info it becomes common knowledge before any noob gets to this site! -_- It would be nice to only have a full list of compatible file formats as a reminder! For the how-to you need only to provide a link!

That is ture save one point:

The readme contains a reference: a reference refers to something you already know (like a cheat sheet).
This is a help guide: this means it walks through the steps of making a config and shows you basic functions, so that some one can learn them, not refer to them.

You cannot refer to something you dont know:

as i stated above, the readme is a reference, it can only refer to want you know. Take c++ there are many how to books, even though Microsoft visual basic has a index of all there built in functions. Point being that you can only refer to what you know. These function, by most, may see simple but there are enough people out there that have never heard of half of these functions. This is a tutorial not a reference, it teaches rather than referring too.

Please look through more thoroughly SheeEttin replied Chasester!!! Posting a node with a noob spelled guide makes this site seem like noobs are the main user base on Quadropolis! Do your research make sure if it's going to be a guide make it a correct guide(...USE A SEARCH ENGINE AS A GRAMMER OK...) and correct info! look at examples of how guides are made even cheat sheets are well planned ;") anything to help sort out what newbies are looking for!

Perhaps you should know, about half of those are map variables and needn't be in a map configuration file. Mayhap you want to rename this node to "Config basics and Map Vars," or something along those lines. ;)

Some of this info, (like the loadsky thing, and the "Some Random Basic Commands" section) are included in the ogz.

please fix the music "fantastic/1.ogg" part. i think you misspelled that.

I really like your guides, you really know what types of things to put in them

The only thing I would suggest improving is the way you present these things. Maybe you would like having a partnership to make a website about map editing.
