Detailed description

It's not entirely finished, I'd like to replace the font as well but that seems like alot of work...

Also includes an additional crosshair, to use it:

For a simple GUI mod, this is actually pretty nice. I was never too fond of Sauer's industrial menu theme, so I've been tinkering with replacements for a long while. Mix that with the fact that I'm into dark/modern themes for just about everything, and I think I've found myself a keeper.

This GUImod seems more complete and consistent than most, perhaps second only to Solaris in terms of how much stuff is included, and that's really saying a lot. It's even got little icons for the different playermodels! Well done!

If this turns into a full-blown mod of Sauerbraten, I'm behind it 100%.

EDIT: One nitpick though; Please repackage as a zip file. I know Stuffit Expander on Mac can open tar files, as that's what I used, but I'm not sure if Windows users can with anything.

I really like it too.. but im missing 2 tex, the radio on and off. theres only checkbox off and on

i would call the theme "Mono" or something like that xD

A lot of work? All you need is the TTF-2-Font tool by quin. Take your favourite TTF font and let it provide you with a CFG, it should actually be ready to use for sauerbraten as-is, or at least with only a few minor tweaks.

the menu looks really good in action. and actually its okay with the default font..

i would chose a only slightly changed curved font.. like digital (you can download here

also i wish that hm.. you maybe add the white thing in front of the preview picture to the loading screen maybe. might look nice.

however.. great theme

Very nice new design. I'm going to continue to use this. The only thing is I don't like the new flag icons (for the compass). They seem a bit cartoony and basic compared to the originals, so I'm putting the originals back in. This applies also to the "you are holding the flag" icon - it could stand to be more neon or bright to attract attention to it.

Is it just me, or did this somehow change how Sauer feels? I ran around in a map I've played on many times before to test this thing out, and it felt different.. I don't know.

The semicolon looks a lot like a full colon. For scripting that makes life more complicated...

Anyways, fantastic job on this for the most part. I've already mentioned what could stand to be changed. 4/5

thanks! I've already planned to redo the compass and replace the font, and I guess it would make sense to make the flag icon more visible, so don't worry about it ;)

Although the basic idea is nice, and i can't say that this theme is not bat, its hard to tell things.
Without knowing i ended up reverting all my graphic options to the minimum, its very confusing when in large numbers :P
still, i give it a 4/5 for the efforts and your creativity. Try to find a way to separate things, like check boxes and buttons apart to make navigation easier. keep up the good work :)

I figured out another thing to improve this..

In multiplayer there's the chat console and there's the display for kills, deaths, ping, etc.. They seem to overlap all the time. Can you work on the proportions of the window so this doesn't happen?

It might also be because the characters are slightly wider, but I doubt it.

I've noticed the complaints about the very plain crosshair, so if you want, you have my permission to include the NeoSpace crosshair set in Mono.

Preemptive note though, since the default Sauer crosshair size makes them far too tiny, NeoSpace is best at 25-35 size, depending on your resolution.

simplym the Best idea, 5 starts for you. i like your new logo idea, it,s brillant, but you must work more on logo type. That typography looks like bauhaus style, and i think is not very cool, its old modern times type. And you can try to adjust "sauerbraten" so something.They are only some ideas.

Yea, the theme is very nice but its not complete, it misses a lot of icons sauer uses, like the cube icon used for the map menu, the servers icon etc
If those are made then this "could" make it into the release, if no new theme is made by the dev's side :)

also i'd like to talk to you about a possible "Mono 2" release. I've already make a very clean and nice complete pack of icons for sauer in Paint.NET (although they could use some polishing from Photoshop) and i'm onto making more of the icons for the data folder. contact me on 8924th.AT.gmail.DOT.com

Well, there is two new player models, and this GUI mod does not have icons to support them. So they look different on the scoreboard. I would imagine there are a few other things as well.

It works, but it need to be corrected...
- Names of the icons (menu icon not working)
- Icons for servers (full, locked, private, unknown and so)
- And more. (Hold flag icons)

Nice GUI. I just installed it to Justice and atm everything works fine. only thing i dislike is the map loading frame, pictures of maps loading look a bit shitty now.
