actually, i have another mode that allows you to download only the CFG file, this was just for those who are new to sauer who don't have the map. you, yourself don't need to download this, but if you want it listed in the "maps tab" i'll give you the other node.

also i didn't re-mod the map because i didn't want to screw anything up, i might as well go ahead and do this stuff, but i have no problem with it as is.

also no, i didn't get permission, but neither did i call it my own, this may have "copy right issues" but i don't know where to fine the guy who made this, and besides, its a free game with a free map, its not like the person is making any money off of it- so there is no reason to worry about getting permission to re-upload, the only thing this person can get is glory, nothiong more, and i myself don't care for glory.

i may re-mod the map soon to fix the main problems, i made add some bases, and perhaps flags (maybe). for the meantime i will be working no those problems, if anyone wants to save room on thier comp, just don't download untill i have finished, re-re-uploaded, and tell you all that it is finished.

no so, i found that the map is not included in the latest download, and if it is i didn't see it. besides people keep on complaining about not being able to play it.

also i have the map and thus do not want to take up any more space on my computer than nessary, besides if the guy who made this had a problem with this, he can contact me and either tell me to take it down, or he can try to talk to me about this. plus if he had titled the map and added a "mapmsg" then his name should still be on there, thus meaning that he is still getting his glory.

also i am more experanced, which is why i made this and re-bound, bind k (calclight) to /calclight -1. and besides all these people (the less experanced) have to do is move the orginal file to the sauer folder and then apply the new menu to their "data" file, not hard to do at all. besides, i had noticed that people are wanting to see it in a "GUI tab" so instead of actually having to type, they can instead just click a few times.

i am still working on this and the re-modded map shall be uploaded soon. unless of course the owner of the map doesn't want me to.

So basically everything is OK until someone tells you that it is not. Seems like a pretty convenient policy for you.

The map is completely unfinished and that is probably why no author and title information has been provided in the mapmsg. Plus, as okicomputer claims and I have no reason to doubt, this was his first map. Just because you cannot find the author or license does not mean that there is not one. At least make some sort of valid attempt to contact the original author.

In the case of these orphaned sauerbraten and cube maps, if no contact with the original author can be established over a reasonable amount of time and no license is provided, I would go ahead and release whatever modifications you want, giving the original author full credit everywhere and providing proof of your attempts to contact him/her.

The forums said that skycastle was the most missed. We are all slaves to the forums. If the forums do not get what it wants, we are all doomed, yet set free. Slavery and closeness, or freedom and isolation...

dude, in al this time that you spent replying to me you could have downloaded it and told me what it was. in my last reply i asked if you would spend time downloading anything you didn't need, although i alread awensered, i have to ask you once again. why don't you download this map from the link and tell me? like i told you, and you even helped prove my point, its a waste of time, and also you have the file so why would you want to re-download it? dude, all you had to do was download this file with the map (that you already have) to give me the email, but you didn't did you. i bet non of this even hit you, to where you decide "oh wait a minute, instead of sitting on my butt like a lazy bump on a log, i could contribute and at the same time not start a fight." god forbid you see the reason that i don't download something I ALREADY HAVE. its just sooooo hard to understand that isn't it?

to reply to submitting it to the mods, because this has a map, it may (though i am not sure) get erased because it also contains a map with the mod, at first with this download the masn't modded anyways, just a CFG mod was with it, and i also submitted that in the mods, but it got erased.

and also to reply to the other maps idea, i think it is reather stupid to run around to put 1000 maps back into their place. i did this because there are over 100 people says "i miss skycastle" and only two people saying "i miss 4b1" or so and so. besides, how come it has to be me to do this, but not you? why do i have to spend my time telling you that it takes up room on my comp to download something, surly you know that room is taken up, and then i'll have to delete the files after doing all that crap. so i ask you, why didn't you do this? is it that you may not be smart enough to do it? is it that you may be to lazy to do it? is it that you may not even know what to look for? and with all these questions, how come you avoid awensering them? also while your at it, why didn't it come to you that people may list popluar maps to stop the complaining? now i tired of this rather stupid conversation, so how about this. if you have something to say, let it be the guys email, or perhaps you can reply back to the questions, and this time, make sure they are smart...
