Hehe wow, i'm lost in a maze !
The layout of this map couldn't be more complex ;) ...which is not necessarily bad, basically, but in this case it's really hard not to lose orientation.
Lighting is bad, i must say, there are a LOT of small lightsources with way too high radii, better put big, weak lights in the center of the rooms and hallways (like /newent light 100 100 100 100) to give some basic lighting, then some very small, but strong lights (/newent light 10 255 255 255) [just examples] to make the lightsources "glow".
The way you did it now makes your map completely lit, which makes navigation very hard, because there are no shadows at all, also it looks the same in every place then ;)
Texturing is, in some places, very good, in others not (the small control room with the glass for example looks VERY nice, though it would look even better with an envmap put inside the glass pane, nice reflections then).
There is not enough space to move, in many parts of this map, either use more clip or noclip, or try to change the geometry to prevent getting stuck, also jumping is not really possible in many spots ;)
It seems, this was quite a LOT of work, how long did it take for you to build all that ?
I recognized, you had VERY good ideas in many ways, be it layout or some details, but please try to make it not TOO complex, next time, a map layout should be quite simple, to provide a fast and uncomplicated gameplay, also try to give it some more headspace, look at maps like fanatic_quake for example (which is a PERFECT example for an ideal DM and insta map, still quite simple in layout, comparable to yours in texturing, and providing enough space for many players at the same place). :)
Hehe, the "Death trap" is a very nice idea, basically, funny how you make the player slide, but this doesn't really fit in a multiplayer map, imo.
Considering all this, it is really a pity that i can't rate it more than
3/5 ;)
Looking forward to see your next map, or maybe even an update of this one ? :)
