Oh yeah, and this requires CVS. Make sure you get it before trying this map or all you'll get is entities with no type.
Sourceforge recommends, for Windows, the TortoiseCVS CVS client. For compiling, I hear Code::Blocks is pretty good (not to mention it's supported by Sauerbraten). You may also want the MinGW compiler. (I don't know what Windows needs, I use Linux.)
