Hehe, i like your idea about the collosseum, really.
But...
- It is too huge to play in it (a capture round lasts 15 minutes, how long do you wanna play in this map then ? 1 hour ? ) ;)
- you used too many mapmodels and also too many bases
- the lighting is too bright, really. the main room with the balcony in front really looks nice when looking from the arena, but is lit up way too strong, same with the torches. Try decreasing their light radius (first digit).
- hallways are too long, it´s kinda boring to run in such long corridors and the only things you are able to see are walls and torches ;)
- texturing is very monotonous
- The mapsize you used also is waaay to big.
It seems, you once started with this map and never had a real plan or the patience to finish it, you could add stuff over and over again, which is just bad to ever finish a map.
But you really had some great ideas, i like the idea of a collosseum, basically ;) The layout itself is nice in some spots, but also too repetitive. What about making it look destroyed in some parts of the map ? Or start a new one from scratch, this time a bit simpler, smaller and with less mapmodels, but some more details...
This is a typical example of "once started, never finished", my sauer folder is full of stuff like this, and i´m not the only one, i guess ;) It has more of a demo :)
