Detailed description

The RVSF have built an octagonal fortress deep within enemy territory. Infuriated, the CLA are determined to capture it.
Four of the eight outer walls are diagonal rather than rectangular. The gate opens onto rocky terrain, where the CLA forces gather and emerge. There are several ways to get into the castle, and a large inner chamber provides open fighting space while the same is true of the rocky grotto outside.

cant you post maps that actually are good, not just some riff-raff with some random textures? I see that you wont know how to change upper wall textures? The binds are 7(home) and 4(

Sure it's not GOOD, but the map isn't terrible either. It has a few bugs, and the double-height stairs get annoying. But the idea is interesting, and at least the textures make sense.

First of all, the map are ugly, as i mentioned, the textures are bad. You know, in ac, the way the map looks is alpha and omega :)
The layout maybye need some changes to: there are some scaling and spacing issues and soo on :)

I will take any tips, but i ned help putting in the gun mods on this site, i need more detailed instructions than unzip into cube 2 folder. Please help ASAP

This is only my 2nd map. "Two Kingdoms" (first) probably shouldn't have been posted on Quadropolis as it's too big to be playable really and I'm sorry for that. But Octagon I thought was at least as playable as some of the other experimental open-space type maps seen recently online -- like WW or Flood for example.

_daMfr0: No need to be insulting ;) But I totally agree this is not the caliber of the standard-use AC maps and am impressed by your ac_factory thing. As for the upper wall textures, yes I had trouble with those as there is no numberpad on my Acer laptop so there was no keybinding for upper walls and I had to use "edittex 3" one texture at a time (clumsy). Since figured out to add a keybinding in "keymap.cfg" so I can use PAUSE key now for upper textures.

Initially had more details -- including a semi-enclosed domed roof structure -- but the more I added the slower it ran so the current version is simplified. Doubt I'll change it much right away, but feel free to tinker if you like :)
