This is plain wrong. That used to be the case about two years ago.

To see what I mean, open the gui-edition.
Make a newmap, choose the smallest gridsize and pull out some big stuff.
Then in edit mode go /wireframe 1

What you see there USED to be the reason for the need to build with aprropriate gridsizes.

Now go /remip , and you´ll see why your "commandmend" is outdated. (remip is executed on calclight as well, so no-one will miss that).
With latest developement, remipping has been improved a lot, btw.

The only thing that still applies is that orientating your structures on the grid can avoid some extra tris. This however isn´t practical on terrain. On buildings, the texture alignment mostly makes you do it right anyways. (unless you´re blind).

Agreed, but I can't see a thing. Way too dark for me.

I usually love to go through maps and tweak them; adjusting lights, fixing the odd slip, but I can't do it on this one. It'd take way too long to recalculate the lights!

This is something you should get permission for before doing, especially if you choose to repackage someone else's I.P. and redistribute it.

Nah, I just do it for personal use. I don't redistribute. (If I ever should, I'll ask.)
