I've been working on this map on and off for more than 2 or 3 years now. Finally I can show something again :)

Editors & Helpers

Besides me (Misan) I have received a lot of help from KI113R and Shuzo. They have brought many ideas to this map.
Thanks also to Redon for giving the right direction for actually playing the map. Like how much ammo to place.

Amazing scene. I like the atmosphere it creates. The proportions are fine tuned. Interesting coloring. The teleport in the corner is very cool.

you didn't mention it, but since there are some errors, I assume additional textures/models are needed...

Cool map, aesthetically speaking it's excellent. It could be added to the SVN repository for a potential new release in the near future.

However, there are two issues with the map:

a) There was a texture pack mishap, it would be ideal to use the texture packaging from this post here: http://sauerworld.org/forum/index.php?topic=579.0
The post has instructions for migrating the map to the proper packaging.

b) The clipping should be done in such a way where you cannot jump on top of the clip walls, this could be fixed simply by adding a horizontal layer of clip at the top.

I could also do this myself as I have done with some other maps that got added, but perhaps you are not quite done editing yet so I thought I should comment first.

I really have trouble getting the compatibility config working with mine. Textures are messed up :/

I can however - use the new texture pack, but keep the config. that works.

Also about the mapmodels: I added no custom mapmodels.. No clue what is missing :S

I am glad for any help I can receive.

Awesome map. The layout, the details and the background wich is beautiful as an Unreal engine 4 background.
The big issue is just aesthetical. Some details don't seem to fit the geometry correctly or are too different one to another wich makes the map less harmonic, the textures are too messy and incongruos and so are the lights.
There are a lot of rock/urban stuff mixed with clean and dirty futuristic textures. Those "laser walls" should be more opaque in my opinion and the map in overall should look way more dusty. The map somehow feels more incompleted than it is.
A map needs at least 3 or more (to say a number) basic textures to "spam" to make some parts more recognizable and see where are you going, this is even more important when we talk about a ctf map. and the lights should be placed taking more in care the color palette.

Thanks for your valuable feedback.
I guess I will remove the CTF, as it is just a thing "you could do" with this map.

The problem is, that some areas have been worked on individually by individual contributors. Therefore the style is a bit mixed.
It was hard for me to find a common lighting theme. They are mixed blue/orange and since it barely fits a CTF map, it is mixed all over the place.
I'll ask you to test the map for a CTF match yourself and see if it is suited for that gamemode.
Capture and all deathmatch modes seem to be enjoyable with the layout.

The background idea of the map, is to be the last bastion of hope against the forces of outside. Be it environmental or alien monsters from the surrounding caves and underground. Which is why the platform is so up high.

I aimed for a theme that resembles a bit what you would maybe know from the movie mad max fury road - where old stuff is refurbished to be reused.
Turmoil being a castle, that was made modern to serve both as military and science base. However, lacking any military features.

The laser walls ultimately were introduced to give more cover without fully hiding the view. It is a work in progress I'd say.

I'll try to fix these :)

you are using lowercase S instead of uppercase S in your map .cfg

Glad to see this finally released. Let me know if you need help with anything else. I can take a look over the lighting if needed. And do some more of the mundane things. Happy to be listed on a new map since like 5 years ago :)
