It is for things like tournaments and whatnot so brightness settings do not give one an advantage.

Think about it genius, most of those (well probably all of those) will have brightskins as a server CMD or a mod the server runs.

With this, just those who use these skins have an advantage, the vast majority of players do not visit Quadropolis and would not know about the advantages they would have using this pack.

And yeah, all those games are newbie games ;)
