Yes, it still needs a lot of polishing and a background.
Will fix the torches, not sure about more blending though, I think that would reduce contrast and make it look all white.
Writing 6/10 and voting 40? What kinda maths is that?

i light the snow think adding a fog and a blue-green sunlight, and get rid of the water, make it ice or something it looks weird when you have grass and snow ;p

modify all the lights on the map to:
light 110 120 90 40

modify the light under the bridge, by the water to:
light 200 120 90 40

if you find that the map is too dark change the skylight to:
skylight 20 40 35

also i suggest adding a torch light by the green armour on the opposite wall to help light that area

and remember to do a calclight 1 when you make these changes, here are my results:

I would rather keep the grass and get rid of the snow. Your screenshots seriously look way worse than that of the node.
Also, the snow theme has been overused lately.

Impossible to overuse when you can't follow the theme properly :P

He messed up embedding his screenshots so badly that I had to use the comment section of the administer as you weren't even able to reply, edit or write a personal message to him. That's why I rather give Chasester a second chance to upload his screenshots than fixing it (as he needs to learn how to do it right any way which is the perfect situation for that).

Get back to the map instead of this trolling and drop the snow!

1. i didnt mess up the embeding, i dont mess up embeding because it copy paste from image shack
2. how or more importantly why is a user allowed to give a reply that messes up the entire web page
3. are you sure suicizer the problem isnt with just your browser saying no one else had this problem

Then don't just copy-paste. Such pastes contain a lot of unnecassery junk anyway (*provided by Blah*).
Users somehow still have certain privileges to mess up the page (like that way). Perhaps we could prevent that by not allowing you to embed screenshots or videos in comments or nodes. Then again, I'm quite sure such radical action shouldn't be done just because some user didn't previewed his comment.

Just a small rule of thumb:
Don't paste screenshots (neither videos) bigger than 640x480p. There is no reason actually that it should be bigger.

Now back to the node...

a. what your talking about is alts and they do not effect any one.. its a simple line of text.
b. Where the fuck is your parser. You shouldnt be takings users raw text and turning it into html you need to parse it first. There is your problem. You could just do what 99% of forms do and use [] instead. That way its not actually using html. and if it doesnt match one of your [...] then it will just display as [...]. Quite simple actually.
c. my screen shots where 400x250, well within your limits, and again if you used [] you could just simply limit the max size of an image.
d. it would be nice to have a tool bar so you didnt have to hard code all the tags in ;) like 99% of forum have

Sui is right sayn' that you shouldn't copy and paste form such image services because they actually put attributes in the html wich stucks the image size regardless of where it will be pasted.

Chasester is right sayn' that his links were ok, cuz they were actually working properly. I remember I've seen the images and all looked like the usual quadropolis.

Sui is wrong sayn' that you shouldn't link big screenshots, and shouldn't just cut your things. Fix them instead!

Chasester is wrong cryn' here about how's the site and getting angry about it. Complain about Sui's cutting your things instead!

The problem here is that quadropolis doesn't handle the content of the replies in any way. It is roughtly styled but not really handled, so a big [even not so much] image on a quite little screen can cover other elements in the page, like the admin links [wich wasn't happening on my fullHD screen].
It's not that it messes the page up, you noobs! >(
It's just a simple view issue.

There are proper nodes where such things are beeing ignored discussed.

SO, getting finally back to the map, put those screens back so we can see what you're blablablabling about!
