EMERGENCY**** [SOLVED]

there's a huge problem in cube 2 for me. i cant select anything,,,, i think i put the sensitivity of the mouse super high and everytime i move the cursor it immediately rushes to the edge of the screen. I've had this problem for like a month now and i really waant to play cuube 2 :( PLEASE HELP

Try sensitivity (default 3) in the console screen (opened via "/" or "~").

Well, if you can still type, i'd try "/sensitivity 1"... I think that should be the right command. Edit: Suicizer, you ninjaed me :O

So is there any problem left?
If so, you may also try to tweak sensitivityscale (default 1) or mouseaccel (default 0).

It also helps to save your personal settings in a file called autoexec.cfg (which is just a notepad file but with a renamed file-format).

is there a way to reset all settings? -btw i tried mouseaccel and sensitivityscale and it still wont let me select anything on the menu

Just delete your config.cfg (...\My Games\Sauebraten\config.cfg) and the next time you launch Sauerbraten it will automatically create a new one with default settings.

Delete config.cfg and rename (or copy-paste just in case) restore.cfg to config.cfg which all should be located in the your personal directory (I don't know how it's called on mac, perhaps something like MyGames as well just like on Windows).

If that all still didn't work (and you have nothing to fear like losing personal made maps, scripts, mods, etc), then just reinstall Sauerbraten. Beware, this is a last resort.

i found config.cfg and renamed it to restore.cfg and now Sauerbraten wont load even when i changed it back to config.cfg - btw how do i reinstall?

? I guess you did something wrong multiple times now.
If you want to reinstall Sauerbraten, first uninstall the old version (I warn once more, it will delete all related files to Sauerbraten, so things like custom maps as well!), then just open the setup-file of Sauerbraten (which you can download at sauerbraten.org once more if you aren't obtaining it).

If even that didn't work, try to post something on the forums of sauerbraten.org (and link to this topic) as we'll need a professional then =P.

ok but if reinstall couldnt i go on a server i uploaded a custom map to, load up the map then getmap? oh and would it erase Assault cube content?

? You could upload just one map to a random server and hope it's still out there after reinstalling. You could also just copy your personal maps to another place (outside the sauerbraten directory) and paste them back in after reinstalling.
Sauerbraten and Assault Cube are both stand alone games, so they won't affect each other.
