Third Person Distance

Hey guys,
I've noticed since the update, I can't go past /thirdpersondistance 50. Back in Justice, you could go all the way up to 1000. Has it been limited? It's really helpful when testing models or skins, so I can see the full player. I haven't noticed anything limiting thirdpersondistance in the changelog so I don't really know what's up.

What I do to accurately see a skin/model in Sauer:
1. /newmap
2. /addbot 1
3. /forceplayermodel 1
4. view model in spectator or edit mode

Believe it or not I'm a reasonable human being just like most people on the Earth. Sorry if there's some command for checking stuff like this that I didn't know, that's kind of what this board is for. If I didn't think I needed help or I knew how to find the answer, I wouldn't be asking here.

You certainly are free to ask such things. However, it's pretty ironic you only had to execute the command once more with a ridiculous high number. This often displays the range of a command (at least in this case).

He's just pointing out that it's not listed in the changelog, and it's possible to have a download glitch like that (believe me, all kinds of strange crap's happened on 50.6kbps internet speed). Doesn't hurt to make sure in case his was glitched or everyone has the same option to confirm it.

Download glitch? Even if such an impossible glitch whose odds of happening are one in a few trillion at least could happen, it still wouldn't matter because what Suicizer said still applies.

im sorry pyccna, but thats really impossible. The odds of the right bits being changed just to change the 1000 to 100, and no other data being corrupted would be impossible. If you have a download "Glitch" the intaller would most likely not run but if it did run it would error in the middle because of a in consistancy in the zip files (the downloader loads a zip and creates a gui overlay for ui purposes). And assuming some how it didnt affect the installer, the data that got corrupted would be spread across multiple file, because this is a zip encryption. But assuming some how that the only file touched was the exe, just one bit of data being corrupted (not even remotely possible).

This all assumes that fttp ever corrupts files, which again would be nearly impossible.

Change your internet from your current to 50.6kbps speed dial-up & redownload all of your internet-based files. You'll be surprised.
Now can we end this flamewar on a note (...or not) so we can get back to regular:
I use dial-up internet, I've witnessed too many screw ups during downloads (in fact I'm the only Cube 2 user [that I know of] that has witnessed the rotate-undo bug, even eihrul doesn't know what it is & I bug reported), those who DON'T use dial-up have no idea what I'm talking about and have not and most likely will not witness a download screw up that isn't detected by the downloader(s).
