That's because hudguns can be specified due hudgunsdir "". The are default within the playermodel since trooper edition.

I just found the problem:
When it zipped the folder windows put in the DDS files back into the hudguns folder. The DDS file defines the textures for objects.

Just delete the DDS files & make sure there's no extra "hudguns" folder when you open hudguns from the sauerbraten/packages/models directory.

I'll upload a fixed version of the zip next week (once I have access to fast internet).

you could also just tell people to put in their autoexec.cfg:
hudgunsdir "pyccna/hudguns"

of course you should package the folder called pyccna (which obviously contains the hudguns which are still within the folder called hudguns) in the models folder.

Unless it's source-code based, it doesn't have to wear the "windows only" tag as category.

All you essentially have to do for a Sauerbraten reskin is delete the DDS files and edit the png images, I don't know which mod catagory that files under, quite simple really.
Since I only use Windows I don't know if deleting the DDS files will work differently on Linux & Mac OS. (Although highly unlikely it affects them differently, it's better to be safe than sorry.)

I included all those so it's just easier to replace the whole hudguns folder rather than going into each weapon folder & changing several things (I'll use Suicizer's method next time)
