lolz ;p ya there are some major problems with the editor :p or should i say major improvements that could be made. But saving back the vslot really wouldnt help (not the way it is setup now).
I think that if the config file was saved back into the map then it would be easier to modify things like this. Also if the config file was written as the map we being made (ie have a list of all the possible textures, models, sounds, etc. and as u add them to the map/use v commands. then it would write the config, embedding it into the map. Then you could just have a configoptimize command to search the map and take out all the unused textures and models etc. (sliding the vslots around and mslots etc so that they all line up again) so that only the needed texture or models would be present. You could also have a mconfigwrite command that would write the config to file (so you could view it outside of cude('s trashy text editor), and a matching mconfigread command that would read in a config file overriding the current embedded config information, and embedding it on next save :P
This would make mapping "that" much more easier :)
