I love it! It seriously is like playing Fear only with a Sauerbraten feel to it. The atomsphere is great and the other effects are perfectly set. You've outdone yourself this time Kaiser!

Nice map Kaiser, It is simillar to fear. The ammo was spead out okay and the lighting and shadows worked well but what got me down when playing it was the textures. I like the methods you used on the door frames and how the floor was done but with those textures you used on the wall, its just not the same. I suggest you get a slightly better wall texture then your map will rule!
I give it 3 stars!

This is a cool map. I've never played the original FEAR version, but I'm sure this remains faithful to it.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of variety in the textures, but I guess that's more of a personal opinion than a flaw with the map.

Overall, I like it!

The texturing is a bit dull. Those metal tiles become quite repetitive on large walls. Also makes the map hard to navigate for those who don´t know it.

i never played FEAR, so i dont know the original, but this map looks good to me. I especially like the outside area and some details like the stairs, for example.

I must agree about the textures: It looks a bit grey overall and would be nice to have some changes here and there, i mean textures of another colour. The inside area is a bit hard to move in in DM, i think, but its ok, cos u remade an already existing map. Would be nice to have some screenshots of the original to compare...

Anyway, i ll give u 4 stars, good work.

I am currently retexturing the entire map with what I hope will turn out to be a good looking concrete texture set. The textures I made can pretty much fill any sized space and although they will be somewhat repeatative and random as before, they will all match a little better. To break up the appearance though, I will add some tech wall panels in to break up what repeatativeness there is.

Interesting. I'm an absolute FEAR nut, I play online at least once every 2 or so days (its a shame FEAR Extraction Point wont have any new MP, I guess Sierra have left FEAR users high and dry.)

This map preserves the general feel of the map evacuation. The geometry is basic, but serves its purpose, but the texturing is also lacking. The lighting is generally OK.. but it does not have the same dark feeling as FEAR. Especially outside, the light is far, FAR too bright. FEAR is the sort of game that makes cowards need to increase their gamma tenfold, this map doesnt have that element to it.

Other than that, an OK recreation.

I'm also curious to know how you play FEAR when you obviously mapped this on a Macintosh :P (there were heaps of .DS_Store files inside the zip ;)

DUDE! SWEET! FEAR is the best FPS game I've ever played and you've replicated one of the best maps (In my opinion) and I'd say I love you, but I'm not that kind of guy!
