If you've made a folder within the base directory, then you also have to specify that name (like /map base/unofficialmaps/name_of_map).

Two posts, one problem.

Just use "/showcustommaps" in-game, to see a list of all the maps you have saved or added yourself.
You can then use "/mode" before clicking one of the maps, or just use the shorthand commands like "/insta" followed by the map name.

so your saying that i need to put the maps into package/base/my_maps/name_of_map and then it will appear under my maps in game?

you can play every map in singleplayer, just type /sp (your map name)...

where do i type that

i have read and gone to the address above but cannot understand still how to put maps that are in package/base/MAPNAME into the maps onto the in game map selection screen?

If you want to add your map to concept maps, just type:

/conceptmaps = (concat $conceptmaps your_map)
