These textures are very specific. But I have adapted because of their intrinsic quality. I am now working on more useful textures (roof tiles and slate, ...). But I am still adapting other mapmodels the same author.

And here it is, a fixed and improved version of the texture-pack!
Some textures has been resized (as they weren't the same size as their related textures, like bump-, spec- and height-maps), all textures are just in 1 folder and carrying names like "pattern06". The configuration file has been rewritten and textures should have a better configuration now (as they aren't getting reduced 8 times their original size).

Next time FrenchBadPing, don't just dump the textures in 1 folder (as they already were separate from each other) and write a config-file which lacks several points and if possible, make a proper test-map.

Since you seem to master the shaders, why would you not create a package to demonstrate that we can copy the desired effects. For example, by my last package I had to spend much time to understand how to adjust the bumpmaping shader. It would be a good thing for everyone if you can do other nice things for textures ! Please do me a favour and remove all "0 0 0 .125", as they are useless at any other texture as the diffuse map (at least for Sauerbraten, not sure for Red Eclipse). That's why I would recommend to use "texscale .125" instead, as it's way easier for new beings to understand and avoids a lot of clutter and would also be compatible with Red Eclipse if you do are able to scale any other texture as the diffuse map.

Of your previous post, you were actually saying you need some kind of prefab for textures with definition, like I made once for models just right here?

I definitely do not master the shaders, as playing with the height-map (as in "bumpparallaxworld") is still a tricky business (like "setshaderparam parallaxscale 1 1 1 1" isn't default, but neither seems to be in some cases "setshaderparam parallaxscale 0 0 0 0" while they docs say it is).

Do you know other shaders/shadersparams undocumented, or specials params interesting like your "pulse" ???

Yep very true, if you use high values on "parallaxscale" (like 10 10 or -10 -10 as your telling so), You'll get the "fisheye" effect inside the texture (as there once was a mod called "Fisheye-cCbe" and even "Fisheye-Sauerbratem" as I'm aware of).

I still do not understand exactly what do the parameter "parallaxscale". I tested "bumpscale" and "heightscale" but without success: they do not seem to exist.
The difference between the "bump" and the "parallax" is very subtle and the documentation is not very clear on this point ...
The "normal_maps" manage the light while "height_map" only serve to manage the height of the parallax.
So if I apply different treatments on my heightmap, I would get a different maximum height (eg, sub-exposing my image for whites are lower [ie, the height-max]).
But the only question that concerns me is : what parameters given to the "parallaxscale" to increase the visual maximum height of the white of my height-map!? And, incidentally, is why there are only two parameters and how do they work on the rendering of height-map!

You don't have to quit the game each time you know. Create a map that loads the textures you want to test, lower the game to make your changes, save them, restore the game and then reload the map.

Well, it seems kind of tough to know exactly how bump-mapped textures and height-mapped textures work. I have certain theories about this:
1. The bump-mapped texture "helps" the specular light for getting rendered over the diffuse texture.
2. The bump-mapped texture "helps" the parallax-mapped texture to render over the diffuse texture, as preventing errors (that's why you will receice a transparent texture when you use "setshaderparam parallaxscale 10 10 10 10").

To me, the second theory sounds the most logical, as there is no such shader-setting as "parallaxworld", only "bumpparallaxworld", but it's only a theory.
If anyone else knows more about this, he's very welcome to show his wisdom.
