New Game Mode?

Well I was thinking about a new game mode the next release could use. I was thinking about having 4 teams instead of just 2, and only 1 flag. All teams try to get to the flag, but on the way are obstacles that require health and ammo. Every now and then will be something like a respawn point, so you don't lose track of where you're going. You can also sneak around to attack other teams. I thought it would be a fun idea! Please respond :)

ya there is something like this it called hold -
teams try to get the flag which is located randomly (in flagspawn points) around the map. Each team hast to get the flag then hold it for x amount of seconds (i think x = 15). But yes i would like to see more gamemodes (or at least sever side options for games) but i doubt that will happen mostly cuz the code base would need rewritten, and the creator (and some of the community) wants to keep the game simple (easy play).

Yes I forgot to mention that you try to get the flag and bring it back to your base. Its like 4 way ctf but with a twist.

well if it spawns at random points it could give one team an unfair advantage based on bad map design (which some times happens already but would be a bigger problem), but 4 way single flag is more or less what your suggesting ... i think red ecipse does something like this (and blood frointer- which is dead- did this).

But i think the biggest problem is that the devs will never implement this cuz of the code hacking required and that they are trying to keep the game modes simple.

The reason this will never see the light of day is because RE already has multi team support, and because sauer would require new skins for many models. Also, some code hacking-about.

if some one was smart all they need to do is do an color change when the texture is loaded (all green pixels are red now, or yellow or orange etc). And maybe a color change map if necessary.

I've made such shader. It can change colors for shadows, midtones and highlights.

Sounds interesting, and relatively simple.

You want to capture the flag and return it to YOUR base, with three other teams trying to get the same flag. That would be quite interesting.
