I hate catch 22s, they haunt me, but this one however looks absolutely amazing.
I figured at first that it would be the same as most other maps using a similar theme, but I've been proved wrong. :)
The layout is large and requires a bit of running around to fully get the hang of it, which I love. I've always believed that a good layout is one you need to take the time to learn. This may be symmetrical, but I honestly didn't even notice till about ten minutes in.
The detailing is over the top. I absolutely love the small belts you have running about in various places, along with countless other small details. ( control rooms, escape pods, elevator shaft and cables, etc )
Lighting appears to work well with the map, though I'm curious how an incandescent lighting style would look.
There were a few things with the lighting that got me a little, there's two, short, mid level halls with a catwalk over top of them, near the center of the map. These have a light on either side, but seem to be overly bright compared to the rest of the map. I think those should be toned down a bit.
You fog, which partially impacts the look of the lighting, is a pinkish color. When you look up at the sky you can see the fog over the stone, I think your fog should either be a touch darker, or have a slightly higher distance as it breaks the feeling right there. ( just personal opinions )
I have not tried game-play yet, but I believe this map would be excellent in multiplayer. Large open spaces, as well as some smaller tighter areas. Not to mention various advantageous positions.
Over all, I love it, and I think this oughta be on the front page. ;) 10/10 from me, as everything works perfectly as it is.
PS. Packaging is perfect too. You made my day.
