Detailed description

Update 1/12/11

- All images resized to 64x64
- Toggle spectator and switch team buttons fixed
- Fixed some icon issues in menus.cfg

Description

This mod has tons of new icons, menu backgrounds, loading bars, map frames, and a nice splash screen. Cito also features a COMPLETELY updated and cleaned GUI system.

Installing

- Unzip "Cito for Justice.zip" once you're download is finished
- From the "Cito for Justice" folder, drag all the contents of the data folder into you're pre-existing sauerbraten data folder
- Open the "Cito for Justice/packages/icons" folder and drag all the contents of it to you're pre-existing sauerbraten packages/icons folder
- Be careful not to replace the whole folder, only the contents.

Credit

All images you see used were under a licence that allowed them to be distributed, most were downloaded from iconarchive. Unfortunately I downloaded them a long time ago and misplaced the link to the icon pack, the rest of the content including the menu bars, frames and GUI backgrounds were edited versions of the pre-existing sauerbraten content.

Bad bad bad. I do not like the choice of colors, and by that i mean that there is no unity. You're using like 4 or more different icon themes, and they barely match each other. I best most of these aren't even yours, starting with the gui images to begin with.

1) Credits are not addressed at all. I'm pretty sure the mapshot_frame is from SauerEnhanced, for example.
2) The icons are incomplete and inconsistant. Images with alpha cast a black square shadow no matter their shape.
3) The resolution of many icons is wrong, which, i believe, proves my point regarding the images not being yours.

If i'm inaccurate about any of these points, go ahead and prove me wrong.
I don't intent on being hostile, neither plan to. But this is just not right.

I did use unity. The mod is basically entirely greyscale

And as far as credits, the mapshot_frame is NOT from SauerEnhanced, i simply put a greyscale effect on the pre-existing mapshot_frame icon, possibly the creator of SauerEnhanced did the same.

The icons are not inconsistant, they are pretty much all greyscale and are almost all from the same icon pack, as far as resolution, who gives a fuck? They're just icons, and it does not effect the way they look at all.

I wasn't referring to color, but on the multiple themes your mod is using.
For example:

1) the icon shown next to Switch Team. Reminds of Need For Speed games for some reason, round with shadowed lighting.
2) server status icons are colorful, unlike the others.
3) the dogtag reminds of Call of Duty or similar games, and doesn't match with any of the rest.
4) remainders of default sauer icons, namely the playermodel icons are not something you even bothered to change.

I fail to see unity here.

As for the resolution, sane users DO give a fuck. Resolution defines archive size. Resolution defines how well they are scaled. A 320x320 image will not look like it used to in a size less than 32x32.

I also fail to see the quality of this content. You found some icons on the web, greyscaled some, renamed them and added them to the game. As i said, and by judging on your "skills", you could not have actually made them, so this also leaves open the case about licensing.

YOU better start giving a fuck about things before someone else does, i don't wanna think what will become of this.

@calinou: I never used such GUI mods, so I didn't try this content; but for what I can see from the screenshot that "Toggle spectator" is a single command, the capital "S" is indeed a bit confusing.

The gui and map frames itself is obviously recolored from the original so I'm not so fond of using those. However in my opinion the icons are nice and I dont get why people are saying the size is bad, the menu.cfg needs work because I found that some icons arent showing up in the right places that they should be and some icons are actually missing (easy to self-fix because of icons website)

Another thing - you're missing the "radio_off" picture; The "menus.cfg" is mixed up (preferably typed down, not across) it makes it confusing to read and risky to modify. What I do however when it comes to gui modding, from all the things I've seen on Quadro there's quite a lots of good works here except that each mod has at least one thing I dont like in it so what I do is I download it and only use certain parts of each mod to fit my own style so that way I have a look that I actually enjoy while playing sauer :P

Your post is pointless. You don't even know what entities are, thus you cannot understand why there is no command to spawn a new "entity".
