In general a really nice map. However there are a few things I'd like to comment on.
1. The candle-lamps you've distributed all over the map I find to lack in detail, and also the light they spread I find to be to harsh. It seems as if theres a neon lamp or something else causing a harsh, white spot of light. A solution might be to either change the hardness of the light or perhaps use a different mapmodel (as you've demonstrated nicely with the torches using the fire-ent and a more red/orange light-ent)
2. The water areas are to hard to leave again. There's usually just one way out over some stairs. This drastically slows gameplay/speed as you have to locate an exit first and loose concentration on what you were about to shoot ;) Perhaps an easy solution to this might be to just simply raise the water level a bit so that it can be easily left with a normal jump.
3. You've put a lot of detail on this map. Not only at places where you run, but also the entire surrounding. However I find the fencing you've put on higher levels a little bulky. Why not make them appear a little less important (perhaps around 1/2 the thikness they are right now?)
4. There seems to be a blue light source outside, but the lightsource is missing... How about a half moon with some clouds (with a little bit of cloudscroll perhaps?) I'm sure it would enhance your map with a nice toutch.
5. Last but not least the weapon placement. I would say that there is way to much ammo placement right now, you could basically run around the map once and have everything stocked up (life, shields and ammo...) Things such as the pilarbar which houses 3 rocket ammo on top of it I really don't find a good idea! However I really do like the rocket placement such as the one in the deaed-end room, makes it harder to get the good weapons as you'll have it tougher to escape with them. Take that one as reference and make it a little harder to get the good weapons.
