Ok:
Alien:
The worst in the skybox pack. Although it to has an interesting feeling of neon/polarized effect. The content fail to bring me into the ah or wonder of the sky. It lacks any kind of substance or variance in color. Although the monochromatic look is interesting to look at, it is boarding and some what distracting. As for the content of the skymap, it looks like a skymap of a desert that has been monotoned and polarized. There is no real capturing aspect of this, and the high contrast of color tones, is highly annoying.
Calm:
The Calm sky map takes up a much more realistic form. The Mountain are semi-realistic, and the view selection is well placed. Now the mountains them self lack realism, in that the amount of shadow casting is a bit over calculated, and the intensity of these shadows are rather high, creating an extremely high amount of black, that should be actually only slight tinted, or alpha channeled black. This may be due to the lack of ambien of light calculating, leading to such intense shadows.
The sky lacks any realism and really is lacking any continuity, or unity with the rest of the skymap. The black sky with over bright white clouds fit in with the extreme shadows of the skybox but lack any realism.
Camp:
Only contains one file (camp_lf.jpg). Same problems as above.
Ocean:
Ocean is a very dim version of an ocean view, biggest problem is FOG. The amount of blue fog is over used creating an effect of which there is a blue neon light on the herizon. I think this is the best of the skymaps and creates an interesting effect of monochromatic light.
Pit:
After a few minutes of studying I figured it out (the name helped, a lot) this is far too unclear, tone down on the about of fog and sharpen up the the edges so that the pit is more clear.
Sand:
As boarding as the name. Also the texture could use less black in it, or the ambiance.
Waterside:
Same problems as Calm.
Work on the about of fog and ambiance when you create your model skymaps.
Lovable Jerk

PS: This is how you right a review/comment :P
Defs:
Ambiance: the about of indirect light or aspheric light in an given area. This is calculated by the tracing of the light until the light is to low to bounce of any surfaces, and therefor disappears.
Monochromatic: mono meaning one and chrome, meaning of one color, or one color tone (e.i. shades of blue)
