KI113R: I've been playing cube 2 for 3 years and i'm a pretty good editor in general as most of the former mX members can guarantee if you ask them. i have no map content on quadro simply because i never finished a decent enough map, my imagination goes only as far as helping others out with their maps, correcting problems, lighting, texturing, modifying and tweaking existing structures and more.

waypoints, clouds and the such are child's play. if you have xfire, my username is 8924th and i can provide some more info there. otherwise sent an email through my account here, or go on irc at some channel or something :)

note: i don't like showing off so don't expect any "gallerie" maps from me >.>

As always, looking to the maps that already have these features is a good method of learning how to apply them. (Especially Nieb's maps. They always look good and have a consistent theme, as well as showcase engine features.)

ive been playing cube engine 2 for like 2 and a half year now. i know like all parts of the basics of editing. i still got some issues with setting own textures (being busy with that right now on a project) and texture blending. i know pretty well how to light. further, i know what the words "flow" and "gameplay" mean and know pretty well how to create them.
waypoints are no problem for me.
so, i wouldnt mind to work with another creator of maps, even tough i actually never set up a serious map with another person :P.

heyy, im resonably new to cube but i consider myself to be a pretty good editor, i was just wondering if i can help with any of your maps anyones currently working on. i rekcon im good with curves and textures. and i have some pretty great ideas for maps. i hoped i could showw you some of themm, im extremely easy to get along with n shiit so it should be fun :D hopee you reply xD btw my name that i use in cube is ransomsubject aswell :D cyaas soonn ? xD

I think that if you are serious you should look through help/tutorials that are posted on here. I and many others have made helpful guides in which you can use to better understand the ideas behind a map. But of course nothing beats an apprenticeship. This topic has come up a few times on the forum and most of the good editor will meet with you and help you in game. Some maps that may help you better understand cube architecture are as follows 128 (spheres), Vampiscratch(random structures), Vampiscratch II(more structures). These will help you with the more advance technics of the map architecture.

If you are looking for resources of a particular kind (ie texturing, lighting, painting, etc.) Just leave a comment on the type and some one will point you in the correct direction :)
