i swore i made a comment on this map last night... oops .... ok simple put the map is to big... make it smaller... i feel like a lil mouse in giant room ... make the hallways ...shorter... the main room small and shorter... and the ramp in the mainroom skinier...

like i tought, this map is just a matter of mirroring -.-
- lighting isnt good, at most places its very overbrighted while at other places is like almost no light, while there are ligthsources.

- geometry its not bad, but the fact that its just mirrored isnt something to be proud out. thats why 3 points for it.

- texturing, not bad but can be done better. its very basic. you could trim the sides or the edges of the ramps to make it looks more finished. thats
why 7 points for texturing.

- flow, because its completly symmetric and very basic map,7 points either.

- gameplay, again about symmetric, sorry only 7 points of the 14 because the pickups arent that bad placed.

- clipping/noclipping, could be better. people can acces the upside of the map with a doublenadejump (tried out my self :P).

- theme, not original. only the name is telling the truth thats why i give 7 points for it.

the score:
3+7+7+7+7= 31/100 points, so rounded down thats 30 points.

The 3 maps i did before (gen3, brick, symmetry) are just a practice for me , because i want to know how people like/dislike my style ^^

Thats why i posted this answer before

some things to consider... one of which may be too look at different textures... you lose most of your originalness when you use quake textures... all wake maps are there to look the same and therefore are not vary origianal...

also think of lights as lighting one light that is clearly definded on your map ... lights are ment to be realistic in the sense that they are to come from one source and not just be randomly put around an area that needs more lighting...

i suggest if you are haveing problems with this consept to go around some of the famous maps.... metl3 or 2 or 4.... nmp4 or 11 or any with nmp.... and look at how they do light... look at how bright they make lights and what colors they use for this light... another good be map would be DM_BD1 or orgsupply... on some of these maps there are inside and out side areas... study how they are lit differently...

for textures you will need to think more on the lines of them... i suggest making the structures in the base textures then reseting the textures importing in some of the packages in your cfg file... ant then editing .... just remember that a good map starts with a good foundation... make the place look like something... hense orgsupply or oddworld or forge... there needs to be a story behind the map ... this is the only way to get good congruent textures .... that correlate with eachother...

the most basic step is to start with a good design ... u should work outside in ... this way the building you are working with starts with charractor... rather than is made from the square you pick... structural theme is important also to provide more of a unity between levels walls and section of your map... when thinking basic structure keep in mind all basic game types... every good map has a some what even balence of all of the following game types... soldier (hard to hit good shooter and is good at taking many people on at once in open combat), sniper... sits on high riges and looks for ppl to kill from a distance... so they dont no were he is... camper a person that sits and one spot and camps ... shooting whom ever comes by... scout... only cft protection... a person that is fast good at dodging cannot shot very well and runs vertical up maps to get the flag the fastest way posible and not very accurate... assassin likes to use cover and other object to avoid being seen and takes ppl out one at a time very accarate and not too good at dodging...

the basics are to keep all gamers in mind ... so there is some kind of balence... and also to start with a good fondation and lighting....

you already seemed to spend more time and energy in the map, because the improvements, ill give 6/10. im still not fond of the map, tough.

The overall map is OK, i like the gameplay better but since you didn't add a waypoint file i had to go touch (activate) all the bots :/.

The map is kinda repetitive, a box and ramps to the side. The texturing is decent the lighting is normal so i give your map a 5/10

Thx 5 points were more than i expected ^^. I wanted to See how you guys like symmetric Maps . Now i know : my Next Map isnt symmetric ^^
