Editing movement speed

Hello, I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet but i cant find it anywhere on the net so here it goes.k

I want to edit the movement speed and jumping dynamics in Sauer. I cant seem to find any documentation covering these aspects of modding the game.

Any point into the right direction would be nice.

if you mean the speed you move while your floating into the air at editing mode, try /floatspeed 100.
put it higher then 100 to make you go faster (its up to 1000).

he obviously want to edit the movement in game mode not edit..

i have no idea where this takes place. but there is pretty much in the physics.cpp

jumpvel, gravity etc

Yes i meant in game movement speed. Ill have a look in physics.cpp

in Sandbox, you can change the jump height and gravity, in bloodfontier, you can change more things (eg. speed)

hugo, you can change the speed, gravity and jumpheight in sauer to, but do you need to mod the sourcecode in bloodfrontier or sandbox like in sauer to get that?

I think so yes, it will be preaty simple. I dont know C++ (i know basic), but someone must add only new Ns: $movespeed, $jumpheight, $jumptime, $jumpwidth, etc.... But if you will use these functiojs on servers, you will be banned(>_<). So, it is not so needy for Sauerbraten. What's about special mode wity energy to jump to height yo want or run faster for limited time... I think so it sounds nice)

these settings could only be useful in funmaps in a special mode where they could be allowed. thats the only place i believe they could be used without having "cheaters"

Or you sync them with everyone use using admin-only server-side vars, like Blood Frontier does :P

i was referring to a new mode, not server side parameters. and we're talking about sauer if you.. hmm i don't have enough money with me for that >.<

Just edit the source code and start working on your own mod and happy fragging. I did it and now I'm working on posting some of what i have worked on. Just try what ever works and use it where you are allowed to. peace. :)
