I played around on this map for a little bit. Its not a bad map, it might be fun with alot of people jumping around.

This map reminds me of a map from HL2 deathmatch (cant remember the name) But i enjoyed that map alot.

What drew me away a little bit from the map was some rough work ie: lake walls, mountains.
But those problems can be fixed up with a little bit of time.

Nice job on those buildings though!

I like this map, I definately think there needs to be more work on the cliffs though, and maybe a few more powerups.

It's dark in the buildings, because they shouldn't be a real gameplay element. Just details. :P
@ items:
I wanted to do a large 'capture' map (fb_capture gets too crowed with >6 players IMHO). I placed the items not for ffa, but to balance the 'getting-killed-often-but-have-to-travel-long-distances'-problem.
@ ffa:
I also think that this map is not really suited for 'ffa' ('instagib' ?).
Maybe some future version of Sauerbraten will stop ammo from spawning in 'capture' mode, so players will finally start to use the 'R' key.
This way placing much ammo wouldn't kill the idea behind 'capture'. ;)

No, this map is NO remake or try to imitate inferior games. It was inspired by fb_capture and an early Sauer map by Nieb (nmp1.ogz). :)

Okay, I was away for a few weeks, but I'm back to comment all your stuff. I've downloaded this map long ago, and I liked it, it's well made and I have no major complains about it.

I guess the only bad thing is the interior of the buildings, it's WAY too dark inside, you can't see a thing, also the level of detail is mediocre compared to the outside, the texturing also is somehow misplaced (Carpets on walls? O_o).

The outside is really neat, nice terrain and buildings ^_^

It's a great map, even though wurfel kicked my ass on it.
But I got back at him on fb_capture ;)

Back to your map :
I got stuck in the brewery between the cauldron and those pipes.
Wurfel said he does to.
Maybe you could somehow fix this?

This is definitely my favorite map. I love the wide open areas, combined with the smaller, enclosed, close-quarters combat in the inner area.

Some small tweaks I suggest: pull back the clip at the edge of the road so people can climb on the rocks and up onto the wires (also, could they sag a bit?). Also, tweak the large metal structure in the building, so that either it gets in the way less, or move the lights forward and put more on the sides, so that the room is better illuminated.

By the way, what's with the jumppads in the smokestacks? Just a moment of silliness or what? I have fun seeing how many times I can bounce back and forth between them in a row. :)
