o.O what the heck ..
Our Layouts are pritty "random", we both made the layout and had no idea about the rest of the map.
t-chen and i always create maps by following a few rules like
if something is placed too high, try to get lower. and reversed.
our first idea was to create a fast map, we began with the 2 jumppads in the middle. and later we noticed that it is too high,
we did the hole in the ground and made the base half underground.
after we were too low we wanted to place the flag a bit higher so it looks more epic, like the flag placement on reissen.
a stair would be just too lame, so we made a jumppad to enhance the quickness of the map and make it look better.
I am sure that every made map is already existing in the level design universe,
there are so many FPS games
one with the largest amount of maps are
counterstrike
Unreal Tournament
and quake
also counting inofficial maps.
it is possible that there are some maps looking like the other ones.
However, i dont really care that you think its stolen, we both made the layout without knowing what the other one is going to do, we both just were on mumble (communication platform) and talked about how it could flow the best.
we never make the whole layout at once, we talk to each other and say how the next acces to the next corridor / room could be the best.
Our Layouts/maps are "completly" random, we just look that the flow is okay and that it looks epic.
