I testplayed this map in ffa and insta mode...and i can say it is a very good map for both...but imo it works best in FFA mode (maybe just because i like ffa more than insta atm).
I didnt try it in effic yet, but i am sure it will work as perfect as in FFA.

There is not the much to say about this one, it is defiantly a five star map.

One comment is that I found some of the light and texture combinations to look odd together. I do not know how to describe it well, something is just slightly off.

the map is very nice, but i have some complaints you should look into more:

1) a couple of texture mistakes. a staircase ontop of the map has rock dirt texture on it
2) map model fountain looks pretty bad, consider making one of your own
3) the copper railings on the top floor are think and bland and also look bad
4) the 4 columns on the top floor of the map are copyied and therefore you see the same ruined column 4 times in a row
5) the entrance with the balcony, again on the top of the map, with the blue light in it is possible to see its emptyness when someone jumps. that looks rather weird, try fixing that.
6) the fire particles are rather odd, as they come out of nowhere. the fire particles on those squary boxes are the weirdest of all in my opinion
7) the room by the healthboost (with the boken wall) could use some texture improvements, and could also find a use for being there.
8) the wall cauldrons by the healthboost have a rather weird to look at texture at the bottom, look from below
9) many more textures that look weird at where they are. i advise you to revise some places and try to add more appropriate textures
10) some lights are way to bright and some are way too big for their what-should-be size. also some lights look odd enough to come from no source, an example is the red light you see in a locked up room ontop of the map

apart from these the map has potential, and i give it a 3/5 for now

great layout and flow. Should be fun to play some duels on.

Thanks everyone for commenting and voting, this map has been a funny work, I'm glad someone has fun also playing it.
I updated the map, added some details on walls, floors and on the roof, plus some minor modifies.
I included also few fixes adviced by ragriz:
1) fixed;
2) just deleted the fountain model, I agree that it was not so good looking, but I am not going to make my own, it was just unnecessary;
3) fixed, btw that's just a matter of taste man, I always try to get simple things in order to keep wtr value as low as possible;
4) fixed;
5) the balcony it's just cosmetic, when you play the map you cannot notice that;
6) it's ok as is imo;
7) I added a sarcophagus in that room, now should be nicer to see;
8) fixed;
9) textures looks pretty ok to me;
10) as point no.5, all the locked rooms are just cosmetic; as point no.9, the lights are ok imo, I worked a lot on that in order to achieve a well balanced lighting in the map.
You should also try the gameplay, actually is the most important parameter on a map.

i dont really get whats so special about this map..

there is only one way to the second floor
the textures are random (ceiling tex for floor etc?)
there is a way to get on the roof with 2 riflejumps.. for grenades??
too much weps, i run 20 sec and im full
(4 rockets in a dm map.. omg!)
the wooden corridor is too low and looks random
the way the map is lit is weird, some little red lights have too much and too big white ambient lights
you get quad+boost too easy at about the same time (+5sec)
surroundings/mountains are weird, too blocky
mixed styles
the 2 corridors which are goin to the teleport in the corner are too long without a chance to hide.

It feels good to be in the map, I like it. :)

I added this to SVN, just to let you know. So if you have to make any more updates please use that version, since I had to make some optimizations to the map.

great great map! has the theme of tejen which is btw is my favorite map in sauer next to this one and nmp8.

Straten --> Of course there is no professional players on Sauer, but apparently Sauer's players don't know what is gameplay. I spoke about other games because I think you never play another FPS or at a bad level. So if you know what is it you can't say there's a good gameplay on this map.

Suicizer --> I'm the Doctor, trust me.
I played on Sauer since about 5 months, that is my first FPS on computer but I play on FPS since a long time on consoles (all Halo for the competitive games) at a good level.

-too open? well so are some of the most popular ffa maps in the game, ie. complex and ot.
-levels useless? EXPLAIN!
-Run everywhere? well, since there is no other option then I suppose this applies for all maps.
-Shot and kill? well yes, generally this is how players are killed, but if you use armor you can decrease the effects of this.

In future; please kindly don't talk trash when you don't have a clue what you are talking about, <censored> and have nil reputation in the community.
