I was originally going to say: Don't give me this fake modesty what with the "...just another dm map..." thing; your maps are a step above what most others put on this site and they are all distinguished. However, having seen this map I might buy into that "just another dm map" description. That's all it was for me.
The texturing is bland as you keep using the brick texture everywhere. The architecture is strange but it flows places. This is like Memento undeniably, but it lacks the precision of that map, somehow.. Like, you threw in a few random things, like the curved corner for no apparent reason, or the platform with the YA. If you're going for a building theme, commit to that. Or commit to a curvy map. Or commit to a curvy building map. You're somewhere in the middle of that triad.
The layout is a tad strange. For such a small map, the difference in the levels is extreme. This may work; aard3c is an example of that, but your map is even more isolating in its high walls. Even outside terms of playability, the map's layout gave me a cramped, uncomfortable feeling as I looked around.
Materials are mostly good, but you have a couple things to fix: Noclip the doorways and put more water in. The puddle you made in one corner has edges from its caustics; if you extend the area the water covers, this will fix the problem.
The map is still very good. This is especially true if you did actually spend a few hours on it. Personally though I see this map as, in your words, just another dm map.
3/5 (keeping in mind I hold you to a high standard)
