Detailed description

Hi Everyone!

Like I've promised on my last release: "http://www.quadropolis.us/node/2117" (K1P57A's Glass Radar) I've worked more on my custom UI!

This are my most recent modded gfx which contain following changes / updates:

1.0 Model Skins

1.1 Ammo skins with a more "modern" touch
1.2 Armor model (Makkes original kevlar Vest with modified textures)

2.0 UI

2.1 Radar (K1P57A's Glass Radar)
2.2 Items gfx updated to fit the new ammo skin gfx
2.3 Crosshair (New high res crosshairs for aim, hit & teammate)

This has taken me some time and I have put some work into this, so I'd be really happy getting some feedback, reviews or critique what I could do better ;)

I really hope you guys like it!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I used these kevlars with the ammo makke made and i loved them, but there was no item list and the bullets pickup was weird, but you made it all happen, thank you! and 5 stars for me for this great release!!! :D

and please consider removing the DS store files, everybody forgets them :)

Yeah I reall dunno whats up with those DS store files... I've got progs that are supposed to .zip them ds and such free... However they dont seem to wanna work... Gotta see if I can find a better one ;)

Holy shit, this is sick! I LOVE all the new weapons and armor! I'm surprised there are only 2 comments, I'd be expecting 50+ on the first week...

i'd love to see a GUI like this, http://www.quadropolis.us/node/935, but glassed and from your hands :D

and also if you could make new icons for the icons folder, awesome, the best graphics mod
that would make a collection

Hey Razgriz,

as a matter of fact I am currently overworking the GUI! The link you've put up actually is an earlier work of mine, just uploaded from my friends account back then ;)

The thing with the "glass"y look is just that you need transparency, which works fine with .png files. However the Icons for the GUI are .jpg, which doesnt allow me to use transparency. However I am already working on a way yround that ;)

Currently I am around 80% done with a new preloader ;)

Thanks to all people that have replied so far, it's motivation to keep working ;)

When it comes to srcipts and mods I know nothing and I must bow to the lords of the mods in order to get good instructions for these things, anyways I love the mod its awesome!

The crosshair looks good, but isn't perfect for insta. The rest really works. i am going to use this one in the future. It would be awesome, if there was an easy way of getting the old look back sometime, other than a backup of the files (wich I obviously don't have) ;)

I wonder how I've missed this one: I've tried it in-game for half-an-hour, and I've really enjoyed your graphical enhancements, the fine job you've done on the ammunition refills/HUD items, the catchy, glossy radar and the noninvasive, semi-transparent crosshair. My aim has significantly improved (with bots, at least :P) thanks to the chance to see enemies through the gun-sight.

Excellent job, hope to see it included within the next release of our favorite game. :)

Thats true. But we haven't seen a post from you KIPSTA in a long time! maybe you're working on a new gui skin or something? i still use your older clear gui :D

Hey guys,

thanks a lot for all the positive feedback! Indeed it's true I haven't worked on the GUI for quiet some time now, which doesnt mean I'm not planning on continuing ;) Fact is that I've got tons of work on my back right now, keepin my head over water (yes, the crisis has eventually reached switzerland too :P)

I'm still hoping for transparency possibility on GUI symbols und loadingbar, as well as a one-image loading screen ;) (who knows, maybe some time in the future, someone would be kind enough to implement the possibility for 24-bit alpha channeled png graphics for all gui areas *grin*)

As I do seem to have some fans out there I'll see that I'll get to do some more work on the GUI.

i hope for the best of your work on the gui kipsta (as the older one has a few problems due to some pixels)

i use this mod often and i noticed a small mess-up, on the sides of the cartridges ammo box the pistol image is gone. could you please fix?
