Detailed description

This is a skybox i made long ago, but found buried in my forest of folders. I Thought I'd share it with all of yall. Because i cannot map, i make skyboxes. skyboxes create a realistic atmosphere for maps, therefore, it is difficult to make a good map, without a fitting skybox. I hope this skybox fit's your map.

Update 1: Fixed my weird packaging.
Update 2: Now in 1024^2 format, with some clouds. Just what you asked for.
Update 3: Skybox is now .png file format.
Hope you like it. btw, I like chocolate milk.

Love the look. The low res though makes it look pixelated. If you render at a higher resolution you'll have my vote.

I agree...It looks good, especially the texture you used for the rocks...I like it. The unusual sky color is a treat too.

This should be star content! IMHO

I also agree! The general detail looks good but ultimately the res ruins it. Also the top part of the skybox, at least on my computer (which is a rather recent model) has a really choppy transition from light to dark as it moves from the sun so it looks really off.

I like it though. The skybox can pass as a miserable atmosphere, or as a hopeful sunrise. If that makes sense.. Point is, it's versatile.

That's happening to me and Penguins as well. It would seem to be an issue with 1024x1024 textures, so you can fix it by setting the maximum texture resolution to 512x512:
/maxtexsize 512
Of course, this makes any 1024x1024 texture pointless for Sauerbraten.
Now give it that 5/5 it deserves!
Edit: Forgot to mention that the original files don't have this color issue, although I implied it.

i love the look except using .jpg causes a substantial loss of quality use .png's to fix that a little bit(thanks nixot for teaching me that)

Updated, just for you, with .png skybox files. BTW, i used 100% .jpg quality for the other images and there was no visible loss between the source .bmp files and the .jpg files.
