I like it. It's brighter. However, considering the only theme here is the snow (it's a castle but that's more of the layout, not the theme), you went kinda stingy on the actual snow. You put it discretely (discreetly?) at almost every corner available but other than that there's not much to enforce the snow theme.

Yesterday I saw you put the particles that looked like snow! That mighta looked cool if you'd kept using it but I sorta understand why you would omit it (snow moving through walls?).

Take Frostbyte for instance. In that map, there isn't actually any snow heaps made but the entire ground is white so you get that image. This map is more like the spring thaw in March or something where there's little snow but the grass is coming through.

I can only talk about the things you'cve changed since menacing-green because the layout didn't change (btw I like the layout in menacing-green).

Overall, good map of course but if you're serious about the snow part of the theme then it can't just be a sidenote.

if you're gonna make it snow theme, commit to it. maybe throw in some icicles and ice (glass on ground.. if you use a bug block you can make the ground "slippery". I might be able to show you how to make it if I remember..)

Besides that, like I said the layout is good. you might consider a jumppad for fast access to the top, or you might not. I can't touch the layout.

And yeah, try to stray from just that one rock texture. Use maybe some wood and make wood parts and just add depth in general. Metl2 coulda been really boring had the guy used the one rock texture but he spiced it up with additional textures (including those castle flag things hanging on the walls) and broke a few blocks here and there. Subtle things.

I also think the themeing should go further .. but I'd like to see some geometry improvements too;
it's just too blocky .. of course, it's a castle-theme .. but some 45°-corners at least,
or curvature in selected locations - to lighten the boxyness and ease up some navigation issues (missing the entrance for a passage while jumping).
The lighting should be more detailed too, especially where you placed torches.
Also might think about re-doing the little shallow bit of water with those two torches at the grid .. nice touch - but the framerate changes radically for a short moment there (for me) .. makes the map feel jerky at that point .. maybe the length of water could be reduced to affect this positively, or either using rounded corners again or by overlapping water-material into the direct line-of-sight down the passage : increase the range from where one sees the water

dont understand me wrong (cause muchpeople said: more snow :P) but u should make a bit less snow on the lower ground, and make it a bit more "curvy". dont forget round is a natural shape, even it can be still hard to make that shape with a computer :P.

want some of the corridors to curve or something? just add some more fluidness to the map. yeah, it is pretty rigid right now.

about the water culvert thing... your fps drops when you run past it? i tried this map on my friends laptop...it had an average of somewhere near like 35 fps, and it didn't drop noticeably in that passage.. but i like the idea of rounding the corner or something... thanks.

suicizer, what do you realy mean by "less snow".. have some grass showing? or less snow banks (clumps)?
i have so much trouble with curves in cube lol
