..is quite well done - for a first map .. and you do seem to be aware of the shortcomings (like WQD), so I won't badger you with details .. which I didn't actually take the time to analyze .. the map is just a bit boring (visually) .. and the water doesn't actually work well for the gameplay.
Hope to see you improve though - definitely look forward to your next map!

I admit it is boring, so I made another map. Maybe I'll come back to this one and fix it up. When I made this I didn't know you could use /newent to place objects at higher areas. I also didn't know how to use the arches and slopes too well, but I'm getting better.
