Blurb A small map for instagib, ffa, efficiency and tactics arena

Detailed description

This map is made to be played on instagib, ffa, efficiency and tactics arena. Its ment to be played with min. 2 and max. 6 players. There are 10 respawnpoints, a quad, 2 green armour, and 4 suplies for each weapon (and 4 health).

I start making the map somewhere in december, in 2008. Ive spend something like 12 hours on the map.

Its a normal sized map for playing instagib, ffa, efficiency, tactics arena on it, but cause there is only 1 big platform and 8 connected platforms (the leaves), looks the map smaller if u play it.

improvements:
- made the 2nd leave and the main floor bigger (not much bigger but its bigger :P)

I'd really like to try it, but there's no download link. And it already has 5 stars, which is quite good for a map with no download link. :)

I really need to say this: excellent packaging :-)
Maybe you went a bit overboard on the legal crap inside your readme - hehe.

The map is an interesting approach to multi-level combat!
Somehow it feels too small - even for a 1on1 I mean;
maybe I was also expecting (from the mapshot) not just one of the flowers .. errh, sorry flauers ;-) ... you might want to try expanding the level with some far-flinging jumppads or maybe some teleports to and from flauers variably arranged in space!?! .. at least as a >4 player version - not necessarily as replacement!

Also, make sure to replace my name with yours, if you plan to copy anything from somebody else's license. ;)
Nice map, BTW: it reminds me of the good old "space", now removed since it's obsolete.

Interesting concept, looks very good. Not sure about the playability though, most fighting will probably happen at the bottom. Vertical maps don't usually work well for duel.

With that said, my opinion is that it would be an interesting concept for a small CTF map, duplicate the flauer and make some kind of bridge between them (maybe 2 bridges, one on each of the lower levels). That would probably be a lot of fun to play. Just make sure there is some kind of cover on whatever you use to bridge them, else it could end up as a meaningless sniper fest.

Sauer Flauer Pauer! Sorry, just has that Mario Galaxy feel :) Awesome work, you might be interested in trying your hand at a Blood Frontier map; a map like this would really shine with customised physics constants.

I just did a quick import of the map into BF with the gravity set to 10. While the level wasn't entirely set up for the gameplay, I have to say it was great fun. The impulsing mechanics along with the higher jumping in low gravity made it really feel like it was in space, and sort of eliminated the need for the pushers (jumppads to you sauer people).

Once I got it waypointed the new AI in SVN really took off, they were flying around the map like pros, impulsing and floating their way to mayhem. It was truly a thing of beauty. There would need to be less weapons for this to work in BF though, somehow I don't think a simple translation from ammo to weapon is what I need to have happen in our importer (eg. we only really put one weapon in one spot, not litter the level with ammo).

But yeah, seriously, if I don't get a map like this in BF soon I know what my next project needs to be now :)

Interesting concept.

It does seem a little small even for 1 on 1, partly because there is not enough room to jump on the middle petals. Drakker's idea could fix this problem though. It has the potential to be a great CTF map.

Even so, great map. 4/5
