A map freely inspired by a famous coin-op of the early 80s. The idea is to have a bunch of players fragging each others while jumping. The map has CTF and capture mode. Thanks to C0m3t4 for creating the "Mohai" and to overcast for map testing.
+ 4 Theme: Good use of an old idea in a new way, innovative. + 1 Design: Well executed and styled map, great use of mapping capabilities to see through an idea. - 1 Detail: Feels too flat, too many (and too mixed side-by-side) items. = 4 Overall: Could be worthy of being starred content.
I agree. Just has a few little things I would like to see improved, maybe the most important of which would be the top of the towers with the yellow-armour .. that texturing is all wrong ;-)
Thank you for the positive comment Quin. I had (and have) a lots of work to do in the last weeks, for that matter I haven't much time for editing maps. I will try to add some details, but I will also be happy if you and other experienced mappers could give me some advices on what is to be done in order to improve detailing. ;)
Texturing could use some improvement, as could the flatness of the geometry. You can add details with both of those things (textures for outlines and geometry for 'knick-knacks'), I just feel maybe the level hasn't quite lived up to what a Cube 2 map can give it - and there are tons of things you can do to add those "fine tuning details" (particles, mapmodels, etc).
