Detailed description

This map was based on Reissen by SATAN!!! and you can definitely see the resemblence. I used the same .cfg file (minorly edited). Besides that, Satellies is a pretty large map (laggy on my computer, but it's crap) with plenty of paths and hidden things lying about.

The map was started on November 07, 2008 and released on November 16, 2008.

Anyways, enjoy the map and please do give me pointers. It's my largest project to date and I went all-out to make it as detailed as possible.

k, i see a lot of effort was put into this map and it looks as if it took a whole month of like 4 hours a day of work, i love all the details and lighting and i only have problems landing on that tube in the circle lol, i give it five star for effort :)

Kreten has taken reissen's cfg, some of Satan's ideas, and I believe he copied and pasted some piece of Reissen too.

But there are a lot of details on that map, and it seems unequal: some part are strangely flat compared to others. It is not as good looking as reissen.

I think this map is a devolution from reissen.

as for the comment about it being like reissen, I even said that... And that's offensive, no I did not copy any part of his map.

And... Any comment against a "reissen-like" map is really against the texture set. I wanted a machine theme map, sue me.

(and it will be a while before I have another map, because it takes me a while to really want to make one and once I do want to, I spend alot of time on it).

Its hard to tell exactly what the map looks like from the screenshot. It took me a minute to realize if the screenshot was looking up or horizontally :P. The detail looks awesome though, and you have my download anyway. GJ!

[First of all, the mapmsg was supposed to be "Satellies by Kretren" but it only says "Satellies".]
try enclosing the message in quotes when you enter the mapmsg, ie /mapmsg "Satellies by Kretren" instead of /mapmsg Satellies by Kretren.
I'll take a look a bit later :D

very nice, i like everything.

but for ctf you did one terrible mistake:
the teleports to the +10

if you are in the right team you can reach the enemy base in a few seconds...

place two +10 instead, would be more sensefull.

I went to bed last night and said to myself, oh shit lol. The teleports were in the wrong spot! I fixed that so it works fine.

Mann i loved that screenshot. It was so artistic. I'll replace it though.

Great map! maybe a little more detail and texture way up high above the two bases, but as said before, must have taken quite a while to make.
