This is an interesting little script .. just some nitpicks:
For one thing - you've missed out on including crosshair3.png :-P
The next is just for the ease of installation - you should IMHO include a ready-to-run CFG file and tell users to include a line like exec assault.cfg into their autoexec.cfg .. much easier & cleaner .. again, at least IMHO.
My last comment is really just a big nitpick: naming your script something with "Assault" in the name could lead to a lot of misconceptions .. since there's a Cube (1) MOD called AssaultCube .. some will at least notice the rockets etc. aren't available in that game or even see the categories you picked do not include AssaultCube but rather Sauerbraten .. still - we've had a lot of mis-clicking with the categories before .. I guess, in the end, you can't win 'em all, eh!?! :)

Advanced Fighting Script up from now ^^

New Features:
-scrollwheel will scroll through weapons. you can now use all weapons via mouse
-quickchatfunction, press Mouse2 and scroll through the messages and pick the one you want to say:
=>"nothing" (its the default message without scrolling. you wont say anything if you click on Mouse2 without scrolling)
=>"defend our flag"
=>"attack"
=>"protect me"
=>"follow me"
=>"yes"
=>"no"

one more update

maybe add a bind for q which will change between the last 2 used weapons like in CSS? this would be useful since you don't really have the time to scroll and search for your weapon again while being shot at... :)
plus when turned on the crosshairs are too big to play... they are quadruple the original size...
