I don't quite understand. Do you think if by taking the doors off/making them open, will more clearly make the player know where they could go? Is it too big to make entertaining? I wanted an open feel with the layout. thanx for your input.

Uh, yeah... Normally, when people see a wall, they assume they can't walk through it...
If you want it to be obvious it's open, make it open.

What i wanted to have is the doors able to open and close so you can hide behind them. this game can't do that! So I thought you could IMAGINE the doors are opening and shutting as you pass through. This provides you with escape from fire if you dive through a door/curtian. It is not realistic but it is the best way i could express my vision. The doors on the "out house's" are so you can shoot and duck back in. I wish I could make doors work. hopefully in a future version.

no the map is a nice size. What I think you should change are the doors. Making them open is a good idea. Btw remove the graveyard. Doesnt fit to the map theme.

How doesn't a graveyard fit the old west? Where do you burry your dead. Do you just think the type or quality of it is bad. I didn't like the rock border on the path. I even have an Undertaker's building with coffin's. If I take out the yard what goes behind a church? More catice? I want it sort of equal. I put alot of time in the layout of things and feel it might "miss something" without a graveyard. Thanx for your continued input. All is welcome.

Maybe its the texturing. I just dont know, I have a strong feeling the prob is the lighting, I always picture graveyards dark and not at all sunny

The map looks like it took forever but I'll have to agree, it wouldn't work online. Still, I'm amazed at the size and detail!

You've still resized it to the incorrect dimensions for Quadropolis. Should be at least 640x480.

I don't know how to get a clear screenshot. I would gladdly use the correct sized pic if i could make one that you would accept as good. I don't know what i am going to do.............

Quin must have misspoken.
Get a program like the GIMP and crop 50 pixels off either side; it should upload with no problem after that.

so the picture i recieved has a crosshair in it that i just saw now. so i have to ask again to anyone who can help me. PLEASE! make a screenshot of wildwest with nothing in the picture but the map and it must be 640x480. once again PLEASE HELP ME! I just need 1 good pic. ANYONE?

I took the best screenshot I could and uploaded it. (I also took the liberty of unsetting the "bad screenshot" and "potential starred content" flags, and setting the "starred content" one.)
Because of the layout of the map, I couldn't really take a good screenshot. This was the best I could do.

Eh... Quin, you did intend to make this starred content once the screenshot was fixed, right?

Only after the map had been improved more, potential does not mean guaranteed, but it could have been. Due to the extended amount of time and effort it took just to get this node up to scratch, I'd lost interest in trying to help get this to "Starred Content" quality though.

As I've said before, it is not our responsibility to make sure everyone's content is uploaded properly - doing it for them will only make sure the next time they post, they will have exactly the same problems - "give a man a fish, or teach a man to fish" ...

I'm of the opinion that if I set the marks and they're still unresolved after a week, I delete the node. Otherwise we're just wasting far too much effort chasing people when we could be focusing on the Quadropolis SVN development (*nudge*).
