This is the version of ac_froze that was renamed to ac_arctic and will be released as a 1.0 map for assaultcube
The screenshot was done by r4zor as apart of the contest I hosted to select a screenshot to be included with the map.
it's not a bad map, but it's rather dark in some places. Don't know how it'd play in multiplayer.
3/5
Just like the CVS.. ahh.. good times.. The map is alot better than ac_froze.
And yes, KC, you need to deleted the ac_arctic folder. (highlight the "packages" folder and zip it, rename to ac_arctic)
I think you should revise your deleted.txt. This map was clearly deleted for other reasons. It was not a safety issue, but a packaging issue. It seems you admins have moved from helping users to swinging the hammer at them at every turn.
Yeah, we're trying to find a kind of "happy medium" right now...
Yeah, I wasn't being mean as much as I wanted this content to follow the guidelines - it is front page quality work and I want to promote it there - but I won't run around doing things for people like rezipping their files and correcting other mistakes, as the process is far too time consuming. I usually do not delete files for packaging problems, this was a special case to get the node owner's attention.
As it's all fixed now, enjoy your front page notoriety, kc :)
sorry to continue having the packing problem, as i already said, for some odd reason (even if i checked and rechecked) it was right when i uploaded it but stuffed up when downloading it, really odd, but thank you to the person who fixed it, and thanks for the front page
even going back and checking, for some odd reason it adds another folder when i upload it to quad, i am clearly looking at ac_arctic.zip and when i open it, packages, but when i download it, ac_arctic.zip within it, ac_arctic folder then packages
i am not sure why it keeps doing this when uploaded
Could just be your archiver... I'm a nice guy; just upload it and I'll fix it.
I wonder if Quin's considering my suggestion of server-side zipping (hint, hint). :)
