Hey zoozie! I've tested both maps and so heres my opinion:
--Colonial Forts Capture--
It's a good idea, but it lacks detail and polish. The forts themselves are rather bland and uninteresting...I think it might be the texturing and layout. What I think you should do for this is make them a bit more "fortified." Like with closed gates and only ladders leaning against the outside of the fort as a way to get in, and maybe a secret underground passage to boot. Having wide open doors just doesn't feel all that fortish, if you know what I mean. You should also consider using a different texture for the walls, but maybe that's just me. I understand that you made this map to be a sniping map, what with all the rifle ammo laying around, but they're all jumbled around in bunches...keep in mind that they respawn rather quickly. Also add a few more weapons, like mg and sg. Consider adding more geometry too, to compensate for the overuse of mapmodels, like hills. I don't mean to come off as harsh when I say these things, I mean it all as "constructive critisicm." Now to the good things. It would probably play pretty well, it could use a few more gameplay perks though. I liked the water area, and also the bridges geometry. Maybe you could put walkways in between the trees for added gameplay? ; ) Overall 3 out of 5, you can improve!
--Fragatron--
Oldskool gameplay, I like it, I like it. There's nothing quite having to accurately jump in between platforms all the while having to shoot at other players. However, this map could also use a few visual perks, although the gameplay is quite good. Consider adding more details, possibly a few more areas, and defenitely some particles to spicen things up! Overall 4 out of 5! Keep it up!
