Detailed description

This my first SP Sauerbraten map
would be extremely grateful of feedback and constructive critiscism as im only learning:D

I didn't played the map, just took a short look on it.

Some hints for the technial site:
- packaging! The zip should look like that:
packages
-> base
-> map files (cfg, ogz, jpg)
-> psycho
-> textures, etc

- in your config you refer to textures in folder Psycho. but a folder POTSheep was included in the zip
- use lowercase for all file names!

to the map itself (i just say what I saw in my quick fly-through):
the whole map is way too dark, quite narrow and imo too monster-fulfilled. In those big cave with the water you should add a clip on the place where you can fall off the map.
I would recommend heightmapping (h + mousewheel) to design it right, with default gridsize, if you didn't do it already like that ;)
the textures... Try to find better ones, simple said :)

the streets up there with the houses seemed to be the best part of the map.

Keep on mapping, keep on trying :)

He misunderstood you a bit. POTSheep, your stuff should be packaged like this (with everything in lowercase, this is important for unix):
- packages/
- - base/
- - - psycho.ogz
- - - psycho.cfg
- - - psycho.jpg
- - potsheep/
- - - road.jpg
- - - road_rt.jpg
- - - padded.jpg
- - - blkgr_grid.jpg

I agree that the textures... kinda suck. I wouldn't distribute them, certainly, given that there's a similar one of higher quality already in the current sauer distro...

As to the map itself... I'd take it and spend some serious quality time polishing it. Take a good look at mitaman's maps and see what he's doing that you aren't. Just keep trying and you will improve!

ace don't think iv ever come across such a helpful online communtiy!!!

sorry bout the packaging that was quite stupid will change that now..

cool i hadnt really worked out heightmapping so will give the cave a complete revamp, think im starting to get the hang of it now!

right so textures lighting space and general touch-ups
