Detailed description

This was, admittedly, my first map, and it shows. However, I'm told it's rather good for such a lack of experience (by my friends). The pillboxes were inspired by a childhood of laser tag. Everything else was more or less random, but the little raised bits that seem random are there to slow down careless players. Be careful ;)

hate to say it, but this is not really a map: it's an exercise in learning to map. your friends are being too nice, this map really isn't visually appealing or fun enough to publish. layout is primitive and unrefined, lighting is a handful of colored lights, and items are not cunningly placed. there's no theme or basic idea. it's just random testing. clean up the layout and items, give it a texture and light theme, and then repost it.

i'm not trying to be mean, just honest. this is in serious need of development.

finally, what's up with the naming and excess files? is it Clauntrastophobia or Catastrophobia? and what this mac stuff, last i checked not even mac people need it... maybe things have changed...

No offense taken. Sorry about the naming, I really should have cleaned that up; I had the name changed about four minutes before uploading (yeah, n00bish, I know) so it would be easier to pronounce.

Most of the little "bumps" were added just to give it a little variety.

"Excess files?" "Mac stuff?" I'm sorry, i don't follow those... maybe it's just files made by OS X as part of the archiving process. Is there something like .DS_Store in there? That'd be a system file, and I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it.

Yeah, my friends are not exactly the most brilliant mappers ever; http://nuclearpeanut.0nyx.com/ and you'll see what I mean. But anyway, thanks for the feedback. It's nice to have professional input.
