Description
The cube-bot is, as the name says, a bot for the game Cube.
This bot will simulate opponents in multiplayer or buddies in singleplayer(coop).

They're same Team, but they're shooting each other.

Friendly fire isn't disabled, so if they shoot eachother it was by mistake :)

Is it possible to port it out to online servers so there is always something to play against. You could do a script that would tell the AI of the bots to switch from team to team if in temaplay mode. The code would tell the bots to switch from team to team by the about of frags a certain team has and the amount of players each team has.

Also could you port to Sauer?

On a few maps in Cube the bot just run to a tigger on start point i just saw all of them jumbing in a circle around and area so I went into editting mode and saw the points they whrer jumping around.
So you might want to change the part of the script that tells them to go to the closest entity.

Bots can already play online, just not on official servers.

I was busy with that, after a while I noticed that sauer had some annoying bugs and decided to wait till they where fixed. Now working on something else, maybe I'll continue it someday...

I bet many ppl have asked this. But are there going to be any bots made for sauerbraten soon? I tried Ricks bots for the cube game and now it would be great to have one put for sauerbraten. please
let us know.

The .tar file is simply an archive just like zip or rar.

Winrar or 7zip (free) can handle this format. Just extract with one of those apps to your cube directory.

Been using these bots in CUBE for a while now -
i dont play online, so this is the best fragging action i can find with Cube DM maps!

TBH - I'd have betted it's a plain pkZIP-format and would be extractable by WinZIP, but since you're having trouble ... but I'm glad to see that even after 3 years Rick's bots are still worth a look ;)
