Detailed description

Yes, as i said, the gameplay is not the best but it looks cool :)
I was inspired by wake to create a map with cell shaded graphics. I would like to thank wake for helping me to get my textures working.

UPDATE: The ogz file was all messed up. I fixed it now :)

UPDATE: Changed skybox and removed jumppads.

UPDATE: When i upload, it deletes the Halleck folder. :/ Ill try to fix it but i think it might be a glitch in quad.

UPDATE: Once again, a glitch somewhere in the system. I uploaded the same packages.zip for the third time and it appears that the halleck folder is there now.

UPDATE AGAIN: The halleck folder appears to have disappeared again >:( I have no idea why, the files were correct a few minutes ago, admins should look into this.

UPDATE AGAIN AGAIN: This was the final update, unless someone discovers anything hugely wrong. Thanks wake for helping me with the color :) The map looks more like a big candy cane now :D

2. you didint put any light here as far I can see
3. the map is waaaaay to light

Gameplay is bad compared to most of my other maps, not in general. Maybe a 3/5 or 4/5 in general.

I'm not quite sure what you're playing at here... Those two comments are completely contradictory. :/

Yeah, its called cell shading ;) See map: wake6 for info on cell shading.

Did you somehow post an old version of the map? Because the map that you uploaded doesn't have lights, in fact, not even a mapmsg. The screenshot looks sweet though :)

hmmm, maybe thats why i was so confused when bigmonkey said there was no lights.
Ill fix it.

EDIT: I am not sure why the problem is occurring, i will try to fis it but so far I have been unsuccessful :/

EDIT: As far as i can tell, it was a completely random glitch. It seems to have fixed itself. I will upload the new files shortly, sorry for the inconvenience. I understand you review now bigmonkey btw. It makes more sense now ;)

Lol I think I might have been one of the first to downlaod and when I saw the messed up version I was like "Dude is this a joke?" But now that I see it was a glitch, this map is freaking sweet! One comment though, I think it would look better with a regular sky. Desert looks good on it. Oh yeah and can I use this map as a base to make my own cel shaded map?

Yeah, you can use the texes, but have a look at how they are made. Its just 1 pixel of the color. It took me about 5 mins total to make all of them ;)

Hehe, i already was wondering if that was a serious attempt, when i checked this map for the first time. Looks ok now, despite the fact that after 5 minutes my eyes give me red alert ;)

Nice layout. I dislike the skybox though. Not sure if these jumppads are necessary, because you can easily jump up, even without rifle.

It still really isn't a serious attempt. I mean, I'm not hoping for it to be included or anything but it did take me a couple of days. I suppose i shouldn't leave my map at a 3/5 though ;)

well after you posted the fixed version ive changed my mind.it looks a lot better with the lighting. yea I dont know what I was thinking when I said the textures are simple (I totally forgot about cell shading). 4/5 now

The gameplay on this map is really nice, but the PLEASE change the skylight(ot light 0) to somthing more normal. This is really too much red.

And plz put the textures in the zip file. I got the textures form someone else.

Quadropolis deletes the halleck folder when i upload. I have triple checked and i know that it is not a mistake on my part. I am confused on why it just started doing this now. It didn't do that before.
Fix soon (hopefully)

EDIT: I uploaded the same packages.zip for a third time and the folder appears to be there now. Weird, i guess the third times the charm ;)

EDIT: The files were correct on quad a minute ago but now they seem to have disappeared again. It must be a glitch in the website or something. I am positive that the files were correct because right after i uploaded them i downloaded and checked to make sure everything was correct, and it was. When i downloaded again 10 minutes later, the halleck folder was not in the zip.

I really like the smooth movement, only the massive amounts of weapons kill the gameplay! The red really hurts after some minutes... if you neutralize it it would be 5/5 easily.

EDIT:
ok i made some changes including color and pickup placement:

* socksky/emerald as sky box
* used white texture (hall1) instead of the pink one (hall3) | (just overwrote it to save time)
* reduced weapons
* neutralized lights (100/100/100) and water

BTW: this package will not overwrite anything!

this would be my suggestions, maybe you will like some stuff ;)

Much better in terms of color, it doesn't hurt my eyes as much anymore. I am not a big fan of the skybox, i prefer mars or desert more. I already had made some changes to the weapons and was going to upload today, it appears that your changes are very similar :D I do like the idea of the rocket in place of the quad :)
